I’m in a book! Art for Obama
September 15, 2009
As you know, I participated in Manifest Hope:DC, the inaugural art exhibition featuring art work inspired by Barack Obama and his theme of change. The work from that show was collected into a book, Art for Obama.
The two pieces that I was honored to display at the show are published in this book. Is He Black Enough? and, Kenyan-American.
I went to Border’s today to check it out and took pictures with my trusty BlackBerry.

I must say, having my work featured in a book is pretty awesome.
And then walking across the store and seeing my work published in a magazine isn’t too bad either.

WOW! NICE!
Hooray! I like how big they put your artwork. Some of the other artists work is much smaller that I felt should have been a bit bigger. But then again, how else do you fit all that amazing art into one book unless you size some of them smaller.
This had to have been (and, I gather still is) such an honor… I see why those two pieces were selected…
